NEW FLEET OF FORKLIFTS
We have recently invested in a new fleet of fork lift trucks to further improve efficiency at our distribution centre, with financial assistance provided by Barclays Corporate.
We have purchased 40 Linde fork lift trucks to operate in our 267,000 square feet depot. The new state of the art trucks are set to lower carbon emissions, increase fuel savings and reduce noise.
Pallet-Track is the UK’S latest and fastest growing overnight pallet network. Set up in 2002 by Black Country businessmen Nigel Parkes and Carl Jones, we now employ 70 people. Since our inception the Pallet-Track ‘round the clock’ network has achieved and surpassed all expectations in terms of quality and service through our shareholding members. We use a sophisticated and efficient handling operation which ensures all pallets are electronically scanned, tracked and transhipped by a highly professional management team.
Rob Eaton, Finance Director said: “The new fork lift trucks are helping us to improve efficiency in what is a hugely busy operation during the small hours. We are always keen to keep at the forefront of technology and the investment in the fork lift trucks with Barclays' help is ensuring we stay ahead of the game.”
“Since our formative days we have been able to strategically plan the growth of the company through investment in people, information technology, fork lift trucks and our new premises. Our constant monitoring of our control processes enable us to cater for the increasing demand leading to a five-fold increase in freight volume in as many years. We continue to invest despite the recession and we have an aggressive growth strategy for the future and we are well positioned to continue the excellent growth achieved to date.”
Mike Corcoran, Relationship Director at Barclays Corporate commented: “Pallet-Track is a good example of a business which has continued to expand by delivering a first class service to its clients. I am delighted that we have been able to support them with the financing of the new trucks, which will assist the company achieve its future growth plans.”
With greater demands being placed on independent road haulage operators to provide quality services at home and abroad, we can provide a full range of services to cater to every delivery requirement to its membership which has been a fundamental part of its success.
