New fleet investment is part of an ongoing strategy to further improve customer service. Membership of Pallet-Track also guarantees customers next-day delivery.
Pallet-Track shareholder member transport company, CFT Services in Heywood Manchester, has expanded its vehicle fleet with the acquisition of five new 18-tonne Renault curtain-siders. They are all fitted with tail-lifts for use in the company’s other depot in Wednesbury in the Midlands. At the same time, CFT has constructed a canopy over its Heywood depot to allow operations to be carried out under cover.
Speaking about the investment, CFT Managing Director, Chris Flynn said: “This investment in new modern vehicles is part of our ongoing strategy to improve even further our operations and service to customers, who are drawn from a diverse range of commerce and industry. The repeat business we enjoy is clear testimony that we are providing excellent service. Our vehicles use environmentally-friendly Euro 4 and 5 engines, which are compliant with the London emissions zone, enabling us to operate within the capital. We can also handle all out-of-gauge freight”.
As part of the Pallet-Track network CFT guarantees next-day delivery of palletised consignments to anywhere in the UK, and also offers live satellite tracking, document scanning and POD confirmation online.
Commenting on the announcement, Nigel Parkes, Managing Director of Pallet- Track, said: “CFT is a much-valued member of our Network, serving Lancashire/Manchester and parts of the Midlands. It has played a major role in demonstrating to those businesses who need to move goods around the country quickly, the value of using a company that is part of the Pallet-Track Network. Our philosophy of providing both flexibility and consistent reliability is well represented by Chris Flynn and his staff”.
