LT Baldwin Transport, which joined the award-winning Pallet-Track network in 2014, has been a part of the East London community for 25 years and has provided logistical support to hundreds of customers and individuals in the local area.

After lockdown was introduced in March, the Leyton-based business reviewed its operational procedures and practices and formed collaborations with furniture and catering hire business Yahire, fresh food delivery company Scoff Meals and Longdan, the UK’s largest Vietnamese cash and carry, to deliver essential services to the community.

Within days of the review, LT Baldwin Transport mobilised its operations to provide free food parcels to Age UK as part of Scoff Meals’ collaboration with Origin Housing which is funding care packages for its vulnerable tenants.

Yahire also engaged celebrity volunteer Vicky Pattison (pictured below), a star of Geordie Shore, and her boyfriend Ercan Ramandan, who helped the team pack the 600 boxes a week that are distributed to Age UK.
