10 Jun 2015 Pallet-Track hosts 10th annual golf day
Wolverhampton-based logistics specialist Pallet-Track raised over £7,000 at the organisation’s annual golf day, held at The Morley Hayes hotel in Derbyshire.
Inviting teams from each of its member organisations to take part this year’s event (which is now in its 10th year), the golf day saw a record 68 players take to the tees, raising much needed funds for the company’s nominated charity – Children with Cancer UK.
In one of the closest contests to date, the The Single Slingers were named the winning team – beating off tough competition from last year’s winners, The Dream Team from Inter-Haul Pallet Services. Comprising players from W&D Suffolk Ltd and Matthew Kibble Transport, Single Slingersteam member Mark Atwell also won the individual putting competition.
Guests from external organisations the Lloyd Morgan Group, iDM, Linde Creighton and nominated charity Children with Cancer UK were also in attendance at the golf day, and the celebration dinner which took place later that evening.
Nigel Parkes, managing director at Pallet-Track, said: “Our annual golf day gives us the chance to say thank you to our network members while raising money for a great cause. I’m pleased to see that so many teams were able to join us in celebrating what has been a fantastic year for the business.
“Not only did we experience our busiest night of trading to date back in April, but we have now begun exporting into Europe thanks to a great partnership with Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.”
The Pallet-Track team will continue to raise funds for Children with Cancer UK throughout the year.
