23 Sep 2011 Pallet-Track unveils new fleet of state of the art fork lifts
Investment of £1,000,000 in 40 new, smart fork-lifts to further improve efficiency within the 267,000 sq ft distribution centre.
The trucks were purchased with financial assistance provided by Barclays Corporate. The new state of the art trucks are set to lower carbon emissions, increase fuel savings and reduce noise.
Pallet-Track is the UK’S latest and fastest growing overnight pallet network. Set up in 2002 by Black Country businessmen Nigel Parkes and Carl Jones, the company now employs more than 70 people. Since the company’s inception the Pallet-Track ‘round the clock’ network has achieved and surpassed all expectations in terms of quality and service through our shareholding members. They use a sophisticated and efficient handling operation which ensures all pallets are electronically scanned, tracked and transhipped by a highly professional management team.
Commenting on the news, Rob Eaton, Finance Director said: “The purchase of these new fork-lift trucks is further evidence of our ongoing commitment to investing in the latest materials handling technology and equipment.
