Night Fork Lift Truck Drivers - Wolverhampton

We have several opportunities for accredited and experienced forklift truck drivers to join our night operations team in Wolverhampton.

Role overview:

  • Ensure all safety checks are completed on forklift truck and relevant documentation completed at the start of your shift
  • Drive at a suitable speed that is safe for the
    • type of load
    • surface conditions
    • Surrounding environment at all times
  • Unload and load trailers within a set timeframe
  • Ensure weight distribution across decks and axles.
  • Observe site rules at all times.
  • Co-operate fully in all matters of Health & Safety.

Successful candidates must:

  • Have a proven track record within the distribution industry, preferably a centralised hub environment.
  • Hold an accredited counterbalance licence.
  • Have recent driving experience.
  • All applicants must be prepared to work a permanent night shift.

Please note the recruitment process will include an onsite practical assessment.

Hours: 47.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, shifts between the hours of 6:00pm-7:00am

Night Forklift Truck Team Leader - Wolverhamption

We are currently looking for Night Forklift Truck Team Leaders to be part of our Night Operations Department.  We are looking for individuals who achieve high levels of performance and have strong influencing skills with the ability to motivate people to achieve continuous results and is looking to develop their skill set in the role.

The successful candidates must have a proven track record within the Distribution Industry, preferably a Centralised hub environment and hold an accredited counterbalance licence with recent driving experience.

The role consists of both driving within and leading a team of Forklift Truck drivers. The successful candidate must have the willingness to go that extra mile.

Main Responsibilities and Duties as a Night FLT Driver:

  • Ensure all safety checks are completed on Forklift Truck and relevant documentation completed at the start of your shift
  • Drive at a suitable speed
  • Unload and load trailers within the timeframe set
  • Ensure weight distribution is consistent across decks and axles
  • Stack and distribute pallets in an efficient manner ensuring care is taken at all times
  • Operate consistently around 60 plus Forklift Trucks

Additional Duties as a Night FLT Driver Team Leader:

  • Supervise Forklift Truck drivers within your area to ensure productivity is maximized
  • Monitor the procedures for managing stop signs & approaching trailers being loaded and unloaded
  • Monitor the reload Matrix, Zone specific
  • Control reload ensuring trailers in your zone are adhering to governed exit times
  • Monitor the hub floor in relation to any miss-bays or damage ensuring Management is made aware
  • Ensure debris on the hub floor is kept to a minimal

Hours: 47.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, shifts between the hours of 6:00pm-7:00am

Customer Service Coordinator

Pallet-Track is the UK’s fastest-growing provider of palletised freight distribution.

A Customer Service Coordinator vacancy has become available within a busy Customer Service Department.  The successful candidate must have a proven track record within the customer service industry preferably within a Transport and Distribution environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage relationships with key customer accounts
  • Collate data from our Shareholders Members via our internal systems
  • Investigate any discrepancies that may arise from checking information
  • Confirm deliveries to our Shareholder Members
  • Liaise with external customers ensuring the needs of customers are met
  • Respond to customer queries resolving issues when necessary
  • Data inputting
  • Answer the telephone and respond to emails

Skills and Experience Required

  • High standards of Customer Service experience is essential
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
  • Skills in all Microsoft Packages
  • Have a positive, empathetic, and customer-focused approach to work
  • Manage multiple priorities to ensure that Pallet-Track provides a fair and good service to all internal and external Customers
  • Excellent planning and organising skills
  • Effectively handle contacts at all levels within the business, both internally and externally
  • The ability to problem solve
  • Attention to detail & record information accurately
  • Be able to work as part of a team & also, when necessary work independently & without supervision

Hours: 09:30am – 6:00pm

Salary: £18,720

Holiday: 20 days per holiday year increasing with service plus Bank Holidays.
