Night Fork Lift Truck Drivers - Wolverhampton

We have several opportunities for accredited and experienced forklift truck drivers to join our night operations team in Wolverhampton.

Role overview:

  • Ensure all safety checks are completed on forklift truck and relevant documentation completed at the start of your shift
  • Drive at a suitable speed that is safe for the
    • type of load
    • surface conditions
    • Surrounding environment at all times
  • Unload and load trailers within a set timeframe
  • Ensure weight distribution across decks and axles.
  • Observe site rules at all times.
  • Co-operate fully in all matters of Health & Safety.

Successful candidates must:

  • Have a proven track record within the distribution industry, preferably a centralised hub environment.
  • Hold an accredited counterbalance licence.
  • Have recent driving experience.
  • All applicants must be prepared to work a permanent night shift.

Please note the recruitment process will include an onsite practical assessment.

Hours: 47.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, shifts between the hours of 6:00pm-7:00am

Member finance and compliance officer

An opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join Pallet-Track Ltd, a successful and fast-growing pallet network. As an award-winning network, Pallet-Track has been helping its haulier members provide outstanding service to customers for over 17 years. With constant growth comes a constant need to maintain and monitor both internal and external compliance.

Purpose of the role:

Pallet-Track has almost 90 shareholder haulier members who utilise its services and those of their fellow members through the Pallet-Track network. This unique relationship means they are both suppliers and customers of Pallet-Track, utilising a complex pricing and billing system. You will be lead in ensuring the billing system runs smoothly, instruction manuals are up to date and reporting/developing relevant statistical information. General corporate compliance (excluding Health and Safety) both regulated and self-regulated, will also form part of the role covering GDPR, Modern Slavery, CSR, and business continuity planning.

Key objectives:

  • Ensure accurate, timely, member information is provided to the business
  • Daily management of the member billing system to include review and development where necessary
  • Ensure business compliance with applicable laws and regulations (excluding Health and Safety)

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Create a member management system holding fixed and current information relating to members, both financial and non-financial.
  • Monitor, analyse and report member performance using external and internal information
  • Build and maintain relationships with members enabling the free flow of information and mutual assistance where required
  • Ensure billing department tasks are undertaken in a timely and accurate manner
  • Arbitrating on unresolved billing issues between members
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis of billing data
  • Review and develop billing system and maintain other network operating manuals.
  • Review, monitor and maintain compliance systems. Introduce/develop such systems where necessary.

Essential skills and competencies:

  • Experience monitoring and interpreting financial information
  • An highly analytical and numerical individual with a high-level attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work in a busy environment
  • Highly organised individual able to work to strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proactive and self-motivated

Desirable skills and competencies:

  • Accounting qualifications would be an advantage when assessing the financial performance of members
  • Experience of corporate compliance
  • Logistics/Transportation industry

  • Annual salary £25k to £30k

Business Administration Graduate

We are looking for a talented individual with financial and administration skills to be part of the Finance team. Pallet-Track has almost 90 shareholder haulier members who utilise its services and those of their fellow members through the Pallet-Track network. This unique relationship means they are both suppliers and customers of Pallet-Track, utilising a complex pricing and billing system. You will ensure the billing system runs smoothly, resolving billing and pricing queries, analysing data and producing statistical reports. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is looking to develop their skills and experience in a fast-moving environment.

The Role

  • Resolve daily billing queries, via emails or phone calls with haulier members
  • Monitor billing system usage, advising users of deadlines where appropriate
  • Weekly invoice processing and exception reporting
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis
  • Monitoring sundry invoicing system
  • Processing disputes between haulier members
  • Assist with general business compliance as required

Successful Candidates must be able to demonstrate

Senior IT support

As an award-winning network, Pallet-Track has been helping its haulier members provide outstanding service to customers for over 17 years. Proven experience within a similar role providing technical support to internal and external customers is essential.

Key Accountabilities  

  • Provide first-line support across departments and teams within the organisation
  • Respond and provide assistance to users requests through the helpdesk across the organisation ensuring timely solutions
  • Proactively train and develop employee’s knowledge and awareness of Office365 and other organisational technology platforms
  • Overseeing the daily tasks of Junior IT support
  • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support for infrastructure, servers, printers, software and Cloud IT support issues
  • Identify and draw management attention to potential system issues
  • Ensure regular maintenance of IT systems is performed to ensure correct and reliable functioning
  • Oversee disaster recovery systems in line with company strategy together with supporting processes and manage the testing of plans to preserve the ability to recover IT systems in event of a disaster
  • Ensure all required legal standards and technology licenses are followed and kept up to date
  • Maintain good working relationships with IT suppliers and support companies
  • Oversee Windows Server troubleshooting and configuration
  • A commitment to keep up to date with developments in technology

Skills and experience required

  • Knowledge of Office365 as an administrator and implementing the use of features of Office 365 such as Teams, OneDrive, Sharepoint, Outlook etc
  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure hosting platform administration
  • Understand Hyper-V implementation
  • Understand Active Directory implication and migration
  • Knowledge of Teams, Zoom, Remote Desktop Servers, and remote access, and remote diagnostics
  • Experienced in Networking deployment, troubleshooting, and configuration
  • Proficient in documentation and auditing
  • Good problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to solving technical problems
  • Resilience and calmness under pressure with an ability to make decisions independently
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ‘can-do’ approach.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload
  • Be an exceptional and conceptual communicator both written and verbal.

Skills and experience advantageous

  • Knowledge of Handheld devices
  • Experience Windows CE/Mobile or Android

This position requires the person to exercise a high degree of discretion and confidentiality at all times especially when dealing with privileged information and sensitive issues to safeguard the company’s interests.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00pm although you must be flexible to meet the needs of the business.

Salary: Competitive Salary, Annual Holiday 20 days per holiday year increasing with service, 8 Bank Holidays per year.
